New works for trumpet players
|
This method which is designed for the first ensemble with piano, forms the basic
school of ensemble playing at the beginning of instrumental training.
The composer Jiri Laburda from Prague has a good knowledge of both instruments and is also
predestined, thanks to his experience with choral techniques, to not only deal with breathing
but also includes the interpretation of expressions like staccato. legato, technique
and elements of performance practice in in a sensitive way.
It is a stroke of luck for us trumpet players that Jiri Laburda commits himself to
elementary training. The reputation of the "Czech Republic as an important conservatory in Europe"
is hereby consolidated through practical experience. Many thanks to you, Jirka!
From the very first lesson the composer demonstrates with a sensitive and imaginative teaching system
the first creative steps of instrumental instruction to his students. On a solid technical level and with
the help of 5 matching volumes of teaching aids the composer leads the learner on to a secure
formation of sound and range from b to e". The composer from Prague pursues his integral approach
to teaching with his gentle introduction to musical shaping and to the basic techniques
of articulation (legato, staccato). His aural training method is well known in the Czech Republic
through his definitive teaching method at the Karl university in Prague. First of all he
introduces the beginner (in Diarium I) to this skill with his succession of intervals: unison, second and in shorter pieces
within the range of b - f". This concept is pursued progressively with the intervals of a second, third and fourth
for the sperimentator (experimentator) within the range of b-g" in Diarium II. The third volume for the scopritore
(discoverer) uses the range of b - b' with mixed series of intervals and a legato section. The candidato (candidate)
is the focus of attention in the fourth volume. The range extends from b to c". Various keys and modulations are here
at the disposal of an extended aural training. The Diarium 5 is dedicated to the maestro (master). The range of a - d" (the pitch
of C is always indicated) becomes reality. Chromatic series, legato, staccato, mixed intervals within somewhat longer pieces
are played here.
50 solos with an adequate piano accompaniment do not only give a good start to instrumental training but also
provide excellent material for recitals within the domain of the beginner (e.g. "Youth and Music" competition).
Laburda has a good knowledge of the trumpet and is represented within the publishing house with many examples of his
advanced work.
