New works for piano

The pianist and composer Eliane Schönmann-Delmar presents with each of her character pieces an interesting story about the magic forest and pictures of the woods especially for children. The titles "Spirits in the wind", "Contest of the birds", "Witch's dance",
"In the grotto" (for the magic pictures) and "The forest", "promenade", "Glow-worm", "Sly Fox" are all programme. The artist has also created valuable illustrations for the compositions. A lovely present!

Christmas organ music

The organ player Paul Wißkirchen has published his composition "Holiest Night"
in his first edition of Carl Sattler.

The Cologne composer and organist Carl Sattler has created a wonderful work. He was
also a highly gifted improvisor and was organist at the Cologne church of Saint Mary in the Capitol until his death in 1938. Sattler must have possessed a phenomenal typically organistic manual technique known as the silent finger change.
The chorale arrangement which Paul Wißkirtchen has published,
bears eloquent witness to Sattler's technique and his improvisational imagination.
His "Introduction, Variations and Finale" on the theme of "Holiest Night" is most suitable
for every Christmas concert. The tonal result is really of the utmost beauty.
