The Wolfgang G. Haas music publishers, Cologne e.K. is one of the leading music publishers
which has specialized - since its founding in 1985 - above all in the music for brass players and
choral music. Meanwhile the publishers has a complete range of instrumental music, chamber music,
vocal music and orchestral works to offer. In our catalogue you will find works for teaching, ensemble,
solo, symphonic music, musical and musica sacra (masses, choir, organ).
Special music series have resulted e.g. series No. 8: "Czech Baroque Music" - music at the court of prince-bishop Liechtenstein Kastelkorn" or series 26: "Festival International de trompeta de Calvia" and many more.
In the Online-Shop you can order most of the compositions, books and CDs. In the well-supplied specialist bookshops you will find the works of our composers which can be provided in the shortest time thanks to our 24-hour delivery service. Our music writing studios operate with the latest software. The customer studio helps you to get your own music into a printed edition. We work constantly at the development and improvement of the technology of music-writing.
The publications comply with musicological and critical guidelines and distinguish themselves
through the excellent quality of the typesetting. The editions are also addressed to an international audience by means of
their prefaces, musical content and final proofreading reports.
Our readers and publishers put the finishing touches to: final corrections in Finale notation proofreading, convenient places for page turning etc.
Music
Many friends of Wolfgang G. Haas: Paul Wisskirchen, Edward H. Tarr, Stanley Weiner, Bernhard Krol, Jiri Laburda and many more are very enthusiastic about making the works which they have
performed, composed and recorded available for a larger audience and their colleagues. In the beginning period over over 150 works
for trumpet and organ and 200 works for brass ensemble were put into print.
In the meantime more than 2000 publications have come out in almost all genres.
The publishing house is regularly represented at various exhibitions, competitions, events and the trade fair in Frankfurt.
Books
The book series "Kölner Musikbeiträge" and the series in English "Cologne Music Series" followed on. The first 3 volumes
by Albert Hiller "Trompetenmusiken aus 3 Jahrhunderten" (ca 1600- after 1900) were rapidly out of print. The English
version of this project "Trumpet Music from 3 Centuries" (English translation by Richard Lister) is regarded as a
standard work for music for natural trumpets with and without timpani. Contributions by the musicologists Eichborn, Edward H. Tarr, and
work catalogues by Stanley Weiner, Gerhard Deutschmann, Franz Möckl, Jiri Laburda i.a followed on. The series "Music today" and music
teaching aids round off this publication series.
CDs
The sound recording publications HaasClassicCologne followed. The main editions of the music programme are recorded in this series
on CD, CD-Rom and DVD by outstanding performers. The series "Pictures of an organ" and "Secrets of Music" are most popular.
The series are constantly enlarged.
